- Dedicated Digital Technology, a Georgia Firm, announces a new soldier in the battle to contain costs yet maintain flexibility in your warehousing operation. The Alternative Power System (APS) is designed to power your barcode scanner or terminal from a small 12VDC sealed lead acid battery instead of using costly NiCad rechargeable batteries.

- This system, which plugs directly into the device being powerd, converts the lead acid battery voltage to a clean 7.2 volts supply that will power any barcode scanner or similar terminal, and in the process, it eliminates the NiCad battery. It does not, however, require any permanent change to the piece of equipment that it powers. Using a 7.5 Amp Hour battery, you can get up to 2 weeks run time between charges!

- Other voltages are available upon request. This means that practically any battery-powered device you are currently using in your operation can be adapted to the APS.

- Your operators will no longer stop in the middle of a job because their barcode terminal requires a fresh battery. This alone will significantly increase operator productivity.

- The APS has many advantages over conventional NiCad battery power, and each of these advantages translate into direct cost savings for your operation.
