- Many warehousing operations that have automated their data collection system use portable battery powered barcode scanners and/or label printers. The batteries that power these units are generally Nickel Cadmium (NiCad), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMh), or Lithium Ion because of the requirements for electronically clean power for the terminal. These batteries require periodic re-charging to maintain productivity of the terminal. Consequently the terminal operator is non-productive while the battery change-over is taking place. This downtime is very costly, and once the batteries are worn out, they become hazardous waste, with the associated disposal headaches and long term threat to our environment.

Works with all Terminals!
- Add to this the problem of managing the battery supply to guarantee that the barcode scanners and printers never run out of well conditioned, fully charged batteries and you have the ingredients for a real management headache.

- Help is at hand! The Patented APS (Alternative Power System) from DEDICATED DIGITAL is a power converter that links the barcode scanner (or any other battery powered device) to a power source larger than standard, giving longer up-time while maintaining the quality of power required for computer grade equipment.
EASY TO INSTALL!
- There is a model for each application that will either eliminate the need for batteries altogether, or at least greatly reduce the downtime you spend related to batteries. Just look at the models and match one to your operation. If you have lift trucks there is one that converts 12, 24, 36, or 48 volt lift truck power to a clean, computer grade 7.2 volts, with all the power spikes that would damage your equipment removed. If your operation consists of order pickers pushing carts down the isles and scanning barcodes, go to the page with our Push Cart model APS. There is a unit that converts 110 - 250 volt AC (wall plug) power for your stationary needs. There is even a belt-pack unit that will extend the charge cycle to 6 eight hour shifts!

So whatever your application, DEDICATED DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY has an APS unit that fits, and will save your operation money. Just click and go!
